Obituary of Jerome C. Kline
Jerome C. Kline, Sr., 87, of 41384 Magee Rd. Centerville, PA, died Tuesday afternoon July 24, 2012 at the Golden Living Center in Titusville.
Mr. Kline was born on July 4, 1925 at St. Louis, MO, a son of the late Joseph and Cecelia Binkowski Kline. He was married to Marjorie Flynn on July 28, 1943 at Detroit, MI. She preceded him in death on Aug. 7, 2010.
Mr. Kline was a veteran of World War II having served in the US Navy. He entered the service on April 23, 1943 at Detroit, MI. He served in North Ireland and England and was honorably discharged on Dec. 5, 1945 at Great Lakes, Illinois with the rank of Seaman First Class.
Mr. Kline had been employed as a truck driver for over 30 years for the former Trans American Freight Lines in Detroit, MI.
He was a former member of the Christ of Good Shepard Church in Lincoln Park, MI. He was a former Cub Scout Leader; and enjoyed fishing.
Mr. Kline is survived by the following children; Dennis Kline and wife Elaina of Lincoln Park, MI, James Kline and wife Anne of Rockford, MI, Kenneth Kline and wife Sandy of Kansas City, MO, Nancy McGarvie and husband George of Centerville, Mary Moreno and husband Jack of Big Rapids, MI, Jerome Kline, Jr. and wife Cindy of White Plains, MD, and Daniel Kline and wife Cathy of St. Paul, MN; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren; brothers, Chubby Kline of Detroit, MI, and Richard Kline and wife Beverly of Michigan; sisters, Dorothy Burke of Mt. Clemens, MI and Lucy English of Sterling Heights, MI; a sister-in-law, Delores Kline of Michigan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Kline, and a sister, Gertrude Wells.
No public calling hours will be observed.
Private funeral services for the family will be conducted from the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville, PA.
Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery.
