Obituary of Ronnie D. Rumbaugh
Ronald D. “Ronnie” Rumbaugh, 60, of 423 E. Walnut St. Titusville died unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon July 24, 2012 from injuries received in a logging accident.
Ronnie was born on August 3, 1951 in Titusville, a son of Clarence Rumbaugh and the late Emma Shaw Rumbaugh. He was married to Cheryl Johnson on April 11, 1979 at Virginia Beach, VA.
Ronnie was a graduate of Pleasantville High School, class of 1969. He had also attended the University of Pittsburgh at Titusville for two years.
Ronnie had been self-employed as an independent logger.
He was a member of the Cleo J. Ross Post 368 American Legion and a member of the Moose Club. He enjoyed spending time with his children and family. He enjoyed watching the river go by at the camp; eating seafood; and spending time with his miniature horses and his pet granddog “Bella”.
Ronnie is survived by his father of Titusville; his wife of Titusville; a daughter, Jessica Rumbaugh and her companion Martin Spaits of Titusville; a son, Joshua Rumbaugh of Titusville; three sisters, Pamela Beightol and husband Robert of Orlando, FLA, Kathryn Prenatt and husband Mark of Indiana, and Stacy LaDuke and husband Jamie of Corydon, Indiana; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
No public calling hours will be observed. Friends may attend a memorial service on Friday at 7:00 PM at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to any local chapter of the Humane Society or to Benson Memorial Library 213 N. Franklin St. Titusville, PA 16354.
