Obituary of Lila M. Baldwin
Lila M. Baldwin, formerly of 227 Water St. Titusville, died Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at the Crawford County Care Center in Saegertown where she had been a resident since Sept. 30, 2011.
Mrs. Baldwin was born on July 20, 1930 at Cherrytree Twp., Venango County, PA, a daughter of the late Floyd and Leola White McGinnis. She was married to Francis “Bob” Baldwin on May 10, 1947 at Waterford. He preceded her in death on July 30, 2008.
She had been employed for several years at the former GTE Sylvania Plant in Pleasantville.
She was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall in Titusville. She enjoyed working with flowers and was an accomplished seamstress. She enjoyed driving and racing at the former Queen City Raceway in her earlier years. Her main joy was being active at her church.
She is survived by three sons, Darral Baldwin and wife Mary, Dana Baldwin and wife Sandy, and Kerry Baldwin, all of Titusville; 7 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; a great great granddaughter; a sister, Norma Roof and husband Robert of Titusville; a sister-in-law, Carol McGinnis of Titusville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, James McGinnis; and a sister, Nancy Walters.
No public calling hours will be observed. Friends may attend a memorial service at 6:00 PM Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012 at the Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall in Titusville.
Interment will be in Kerr Hill Cemetery.
The family asks that memorials be made Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall in Titusville or to Southern Care Hospice.
