Obituary of Rejane Basile Barr
Mrs. Rejane Basile Barr, 64, of 251 Laurel Terrace Rd. Franklin, died Saturday, September 15, 2012 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Rejane was born on September 4, 1948 at Sao Paulo, Brazil, a daughter of the late Antonio Basile Filho and Lucinda Da Silva Basile.
She met her husband, Russell Barr through missionary work between Brazil and the United States. They were first married in Sao Paulo, Brazil on July 4, 1998 and later at Seneca, PA on July 26, 1998.
Rejane had been employed as a math teacher and missionary while residing in Brazil. While residing in the United States she worked as a missionary and evangelist who toured the world preaching the word and love of Jesus Christ. She was also a caregiver, piano teacher, and ordained minister.
She enjoyed gardening and decorating home for the holidays, hosting get-togethers for family and friends, and volunteering at nursing homes. She was recognized many times for her volunteer work and her passion for the Lord through missionary work consisting of singing, preaching and playing piano.
She enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren, spending time with loved ones, and attending “Abundant Life Ministries”.
She is survived by her husband Russell C. Barr and their pet dog “King” of Franklin; three children, Guto Rodrigues and his wife Andresa and their children of Brazil, Milena Gruber and her husband Jack, and Luiz Goncalves and his wife Tierney and their children of Ohio; three step children, Raymond Barr and his wife Amanda and their children of Arizona, Rebecca Logsdon and her children of Connecticut, and Deedrah Ensle and her husband John and their children of Titusville; and a sister, Marcia Basile.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Caca Rodrigues.
Friends may attend a memorial service on Saturday, September 22nd at 1:00 PM at the Seneca United Methodist Church East State Road Seneca, PA with her brother in Jesus, Pastor Alan C. Adams, officiating.
