Obituary of Betty V. Moore
Mrs. Betty V. Moore, 86, formerly of 201 Bank St. Titusville, died Friday, October 5, 2012 at the Presbyterian Home in Oil City where she had been a resident since October 8, 2010.
Mrs. Moore was born on January 16, 1926 at Oil City, PA, a daughter of the late Henry and Helen Gaynor Kurschinski. She was married to Clarence D. Kinnear in 1949 who preceded her in death in 1954. She later married James “Bus” Moore in 1955. He preceded her in death in 1978.
Betty had worked with her husband at the former Jim’s Tavern in Titusville for a number of years.
She enjoyed yard sales, listening to Dean Martin music, dancing, and polka. She enjoyed spending time with her family and enjoyed her cats and Boston Terriers. She was a member of the VFW and American Legion Ladies Auxillaries.
Betty is survived by the following children; Joyce Ralston of Meadville, Gloria Blankenship of Titusville, David Moore and his wife Dollie of Titusville, Larry Moore and his wife Linda of Corry, and Anita Moore of Titusville; a daughter-in-law, Sue Kinnear of Titusville; the following grandchildren, Shane Kinnear and wife Jean, Tina Gorman and husband Paul, Jason Kinnear and wife Jill, David Moore, Jr. and wife Dawn, Eric Moore and wife Dessa, Patrick Fielding, Jr. and fiancée Billie Allen, Donald Delo III, Dennis Delo and wife Sue, Daniel Delo and wife Debbie, Robin Van Nort and husband Tim, Larry Moore, Jr., and Leann Carl and husband Randy; 15 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; a sister, Keretta Bruner and husband Paul of Pittsburgh; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a son, Clarence D. “Butch” Kinnear; and two brothers, William and Andy Wagner.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM and attend the funeral service there on Monday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Doug Cole, pastor of the Bible Baptist Church, officiating.
Interment will be in Kerr Hill Cemetery.
The family asks that memorials be made to any local humane society or to a charity of one’s choice.
The children wish to thank the staff at the Presbyterian Home in Oil City for the excellent care that their mother had received since her stay there.
