Obituary of Charles A. Burrows

Charles A. Burrows, 74, of 217 N. Monroe St. Titusville, died unexpectedly Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at his residence. Mr. Burrows was born on August 9, 1938 in Titusville, PA, a son of the late Charles M. and Margaret Saulsgiver Burrows. He was previously married to Rose Foster and Lois Ender. Mr. Burrows was a graduate of Colestock High School. He had been employed most of his working career as an over the road truck driver. He was a member of the Titusville PNA Club and a social member of the Cleo J. Ross Post No. 368 American Legion. He enjoyed fishing, doing puzzles, and gardening. He is survived by the following children; Charles W. Burrows and wife Anne of Albion, Albert Burrows and wife Lori of Ft. Myers, FL, Richard Burrows and wife Mary of Erie, Theresa Burrows of Sarasota, FL, Chris Burrows and wife Eileen of Crosby, TX, Bob Burrows and wife Jennifer of Erie, Rachel Burrows of Erie, Jon Burrows and wife Amanda of Oil City, Joseph Burrows of Titusville, and Autumn Burrows of Titusville; 23 grandchildren; one great granddaughter; five brothers, Gerald Burrows of Oil City, Gordon Burrows of Titusville, Kenneth Burrows and wife Cora of Titusville, Duane Burrows and wife Lorraine of Titusville, and Norman Burrows of Cleveland, OH; a sister, Nancy Edwards of Oil City; a step-sister, Lucille Nottingham of Oil City; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Burrows; and a sister, Margaret Barrett. No public calling hours will be observed. Friends may gather for a celebration of his life at 2:00 PM Saturday, Nov. 3rd at the Kenneth Burrows residence 161 Sopher Rd. Titusville. The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville, PA 16354.
