Obituary of Harold Pinkerton

Mr. Harold Pinkerton, Sr., 72, of 34451 State Highway 27 Guys Mills, died Wednesday morning November 14, 2012 at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Pinkerton was born on January 3, 1940 at Tryon, Nebraska, a son of the late James and Mildred Brown Pinkerton. He was married to Ellen Christy on Nov. 19, 1961 at Tryon, Nebraska. He was a graduate of the Tryon High School in Tryon, Nebraska. He had been employed most of his life as a truck driver. He had worked locally for Hasbrouck Sand and Gravel and for Hunter Trucking. Mr. Pinkerton was a member of the Chapmanville Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, fishing, working on computers, and small engine repair. He is survived by his wife who lives with her son at Kimball, Nebraska; three sons, Harold James Pinkerton, Jr. and wife Regina of Kinsman, OH, Stephen Eugene Pinkerton and wife Carin of Kimball, Nebraska, and Daniel Paul Pinkerton and wife Wilma of Charlotte, NC; two daughters, Esther Ruth Warren and husband William of Guys Mills and Susan Ellen Carl of Titusville; 16 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; a half-brother, James Pinkerton, Jr. of North Platte, Nebraska; a sister, Katherine Gove and husband Marvin of North Platte, Nebraska; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Martha Jane Pinkerton; and a sister, Barbara Anway. Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville today (Thursday) 7 to 9 PM and attend the funeral service there on Friday at 1:30 PM with Pastor Paul Young of the Warren Bible Methodist Church in Warren, OH, officiating. Interment will be in Stewart’s Run Cemetery. FLOWERS
