Obituary of Mary B. Laskos
Mrs. Mary B. Laskos, 95, of 216 W. Bloss St., Titusville died at 2:05 pm on Saturday, December 15, 2012, at the Titusville Area Hospital.
Mrs. Laskos was born on November 27, 1917, in Titusville to the late John and Julia (Hubitz) Behen. She married George M. Laskos on June 21, 1942, at St. Walburga Church. Mr. Laskos preceded her in death on November 30, 2001.
She was a graduate of Titusville High School, class of 1935.
Mrs. Laskos and her husband George were the former owners of the Red and White Store. She was also formerly employed by Dunn’s Stationary and Supply, Robbins and Carlson, Dr. Heasley and several other local employers.
She was a life-long member of St. Walburga Church and the Catholic Daughters of America.
Mrs. Laskos celebrated life every day and through her devotion to God and her church she also inspired her family and friends to love life. She loved to entertain for her family with her cooking and baking.
She is survived by a sister, Anne Dubiel of Titusville; two sisters-in-law, Mary Schossler and Maxine Behen of Titusville; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; along with her dear beloved neighbors on Bloss St.
Mrs. Laskos was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Behen.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Additional visitation will take place at St. Walburga Church on Friday from 9:00 to 10:00 AM with a mass of Christian burial to follow conducted by Fr. Walter E. Packard, of the Catholic Community of Titusville, as celebrant.
Interment will be in St. Catharines Cemetery.
