Obituary of Richard E. Cochran

Richard E. Cochran, 79, of 13301 Windfall Rd. Titusville, died Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at the Titusville Area Hospital following an extended illness. Mr. Cochran was born on December 29, 1933 at Hydetown, PA, the son of the late Carl and Gertrude Whitehill Cochran. He was married to Eugenia L’Huillier on April 24, 1954 in Titusville. Mr. Cochran had attended the Hydetown schools. He was retired from Grand Valley Manufacturing where he had worked as a machine operator. He was previously employed at Skyline Industries and Phillips 66 for 23 years as a foreman. Mr. Cochran enjoyed spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren. He was an avid Cleveland Indians fan and enjoyed watching television. Mr. Cochran is survived by his wife of Titusville; two daughters, Rita Niedbala, and Barbara Antill and her husband David, all of Titusville; five grandchildren, David Antill and wife Jen, Douglas Antill, Bev Baker and husband Rick, Tracy Jackson and husband Clyde, and Sylvia Wright and husband Scott; seven great grandchildren, Judy Horn and husband Brandon, Katie Anthony, Ashley and Rachel Jackson, Brittney, Tashia, and Vicky Wright; a sister, Barbara Donovan of Jamestown, NY; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Jerry Niedbala; two brothers, Russell and Jack Cochran; and four sisters, Buna Anthony, Marguerite Culver, Alice Kinnear, and Ruth Proper. Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville today (Thursday) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM and attend the funeral service there on Friday at 11:00 AM with Mrs. Jacqueline Wagner, officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the charity of one’s choice. FLOWERS
