Obituary of Alma A. Lefebvre
Alma Arlene Lefebvre, 86, of 141 Old Post Office Rd. Titusville, passed away peacefully at her home in Diamond Friday morning January 18, 2013.
Alma was born on Nov. 27, 1926 at Diamond, a daughter of the late Ben and Adelthia Mallory Armstrong. She was married to John “Jack” Lefebvre of Midway, PA. She was previously married to Dale Edward Neely who preceded her in death.
Alma had attended the Sunville High School. She had been employed at Sylvania in Pleasantville for four years and was last employed by National Fuel from where she retired.
She lived in Diamond all her life. She was the oldest life-long member of the Diamond Evangelical United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir for many years. She had a very strong love for her church, her family, and her community. She enjoyed recalling history about the families of the community in which she lived all her life.
She is survived by her husband Jack of Diamond; a son, Wendell Neely and wife Kathy of Titusville; a step-son, John Lefebvre and wife Mary of Midway; a step-daughter, Melissa Dami and husband Richard of McDonald; grandsons, Matthew Neely and wife Heather and Brett Neely and wife Nicole, all of Townville; step-grandsons, Jack Lefebvre and wife Barbara of Oakdale, Douglas Lefebvre of Clovis, NM, and Luke Dami of McDonald; great grandchildren, Sarah Neely of Titusville, and Bree and Ty Neely of Townville; step-great grandchildren, Bennett and Johnna Lefebvre of Oakdale, and Justin Lefebvre of Alaska; and many special nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Swarthout; grandsons, Chad and Ryan Neely; a sister, Eleanor Shaffer; and a brother, Paul Armstrong.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM and attend the funeral service on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the Diamond United Methodist Church with Rev. Terry Brown, pastor, and Rev. Marshal Lillie, Hospice Chaplain, officiating.
Interment will be in Diamond Cemetery.
The family asks that memorials be made to Hospice of Crawford County 310 N. Monroe St. Titusville, PA 16354.
