Obituary of Kriston A. Gilson

Mr. Kriston A. “Kris” Gilson, 36, of 514 E. Elm St., Titusville died at 3:22 PM on Friday, January 25, 2013, at UPMC Northwest in Seneca. Kris was born on August 8, 1976, in Warren to Edith Hamilton Gilson and the late Oscar H. Gilson II. He was a graduate of Warren High School, class of 1996. Kris was employed as a truck driver for Schneider’s out of Green Bay, WI and Advantage Tank Line in Canton, OH. He was an avid NASCAR fan, especially of Dale Earnhardt, Jr. He enjoyed ridding his 4-wheeler, motorcycles, and going to local races in Erie and the former Tri-City Speedway. Kris is survived by his wife, Jessica Wagner Gilson of Titusville whom he married on November 11, 2006 at Pittsfield; His mother, Edith Gilson of Warren; paternal grandmother, Susie Matthews of Warren; a brother, Oscar Gilson III and wife Michelle of Jamestown, NY; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St., Titusville on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM and attend the funeral service from the funeral home on Tuesday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Bill Hargenrader of the Warren First Church of God, officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
