Obituary of Betty Jane Haugh

Mrs. Betty Jane Haugh, 88, formerly of Ames Trailer Court, died at 2:10 PM on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at the Golden LivingCenter in Titusville. Betty was born on June 9, 1924 in Brookville, PA, a daughter of the late Frank and Margaret Uplinger Mottern. She was married to Harry E. Haugh on June 9, 1946 at Beechwood, PA. He preceded her in death on June 1, 1999. Betty had been employed at GTE Sylvania in Brookville and Pleasantville; and at both the Masonite Corp. and Horn Textile in Titusville. She worked at the Triangle Shoe store in Titusville and also sold jewelry. She had previously attended the Church of Christ in Titusville. Betty and her sister, Margie, had sung on the local radio at Brookville and were known as “Boots and Saddles”. She like to shop, watch TV, and loved spending time with her family. She is survived by two sons, Larry E. Haugh and wife Helen of Titusville and Danny E. Haugh and wife Rita of Edmund, OK; grandchildren, Angie Wheelock and husband Michael of Dallas, TX, Crystal Haugh, Jennifer Howeth and husband Doug of Oklahoma City, OK, and Cory Bagby of Chicago IL; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Lewis Mottern; and two sisters, Laura Mowrey and Margaret Banks. Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM and attend the funeral service there on Friday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Mark Rusnak, Hospice Chaplain for Asera Care Hospice in Erie, officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Tabor Cemetery. FLOWERS
