Obituary of Mark P. Grandin
Mark P. Grandin, 53, of 16515 Station Road Centerville, died Monday afternoon February 18, 2013 at his residence.
Mark was born on June 21, 1959 at Jamestown, NY, a son of the late William J. “Bill” Grandin III and Martha Pierson Grandin. He was married to Margaret “Peg” Butler on Dec. 24, 1999 at Garland, PA.
Mark was a graduate of Titusville High School, class of 1977. He had also attended Edinboro University. He had been employed as a sales representative at McInnis Steel in Corry for a number of years, as well as Grand Valley Manufacturing in Titusville, and Technical Forging Specialists in Corry. He was currently owner of J&M Metal Services in Centerville.
Mark was a member of the NRA. He enjoyed being with his family and grandchildren; hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. He donated to many charities including veterans organizations and cancer organizations.
Mark is survived by his wife of Centerville; two daughters, Melissa Lloyd of Oil City, and Katelyn Monn and husband Darren of Butler; a step-daughter, Dawn Simkins of Warren; three step-sons, Anthony Abbott and wife Gayle of Corry, Christopher Eichorn of Corry, and Peter Abbott of Rochester, NY; 10 grandchildren, Ethan, Taryn Jo, and Ana Lloyd, Carter Moore, Chloe Grandin, Makayla and Logan Monn, Zach, Tyler and Haley Abbott; two brothers, Steven E. Grandin and wife Marian of Centerville and Jeffrey C. Grandin and wife Rina of Clarksville, TN; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William J. Grandin IV and a son-in-law, Garth Lloyd.
No public calling hours will be observed. Friends may attend a memorial service at 11:00 AM on Saturday, Feb. 23rd at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville with Dr. Barry E. Cressman, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating.
The family asks that memorials be made to any chapter of the American Cancer Society or to Hospice of Crawford County 310 N. Monroe St. Titusville, PA 16354.
