Obituary of Kenneth F. Davidson

Mr. Kenneth F. Davidson, 81, of 134 Breed St., Titusville died at 9:30 AM on Saturday, March 02, 2013, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Davidson was born on March 19, 1931 in Titusville to the late John and Nora Seyboth Davidson. He married Barbara Swartz on July 24, 1955 at the former St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Titusville. He was a graduate of Titusville High School, class of 1949. Mr. Davidson was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the US Army from 1952 to 1954 when he was honorably discharged with the rank of Staff Sergeant. Following his discharge, Ken returned home to resume working for Cyclops Specialty Steel Corporation as a machinist. He was employed there from 1950 until his retirement after 41 years with the company in 1991. Ken, his father-in-law: Charles Swartz and Jack Dibble were the founders of Church Run Orchard in 1962 and following the passing of Mr. Swartz, Ken sold the remaining half of the business to Mr. Dibble in 1981. He attended St. James Memorial Episcopal Church. Mr. Davidson was an avid sportsman. In high school he participated in several sports including football, baseball, and had the distinction of being on the first Titusville Track Team and scoring the first point for Titusville at their district track meet. He also enjoyed golfing and bowling. He is survived by his wife Barbara Davidson of Titusville; three children, Scott Davidson and wife Donella of Aurora, CO., Ted Davidson and wife Ruthann of Baden, Lisa Kellogg and husband Barry of Titusville; seven grandchildren, Cammie Kellogg of Titusville, Caitlin Davidson of Baden, Cameron Davidson of Baden, Ben Davidson of Aurora, CO., Lydia Kellogg of Titusville, Hope Kellogg of Titusville, Micah Davidson of Aurora, CO.; a brother, William Davidson and wife Cynthia of Tequesta, FL.; a sister, Betty Hoke of Franklin; a sister-in-law: Barbara Davidson of Pleasantville; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Davidson was preceded in death by two brothers, Norman Davidson and John Davidson, Jr. A memorial service will take place for family and friends on Thursday at 11:00 AM in St. James Memorial Episcopal Church with Rev.
