Obituary of Mary C. Wagner
Mary C. Wagner, 55, of 18147 Steuben Street Centerville, died Friday morning March 8, 2013 at her residence following an extended illness.
Mary was born on Feb. 11, 1958 in Titusville, a daughter of the late Donald and Harriet Kline Wagner.
She had attended the Maplewood schools. She had been employed at the former Warner’s Bakery and was last co-owner of Country Crossroads Restaurant.
Mary was a member of the Centerville Volunteer Fire Dept.; was a life member of the Bruce Shorts Post 5958 VFW Ladies Auxiliary; and a former social member of the American Legion. She enjoyed working in her yard, gardening, and spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren. She also enjoyed her visits to the casino.
Mary is survived by her companion, Roberta Allen of Centerville; two daughters, Sharon Bancroft and husband Koy of Centerville, and Kelly Murphy and husband Seth of Cambridge Springs; five grandchildren, Courtney and Nathan Vandervort, Madison and Luke Bancroft, and Jackson Murphy; a brother, Donald F. Wagner and wife Cindy of Titusville; three sisters, Alice Lesh of Saegertown, Patricia Proper and husband Ronald of Oil City, and Beverly Gates and husband Andy of Titusville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Gracie Murphy; and a sister, Grace L. Daly.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM and attend the funeral service there on Monday at 11 AM with Rev. Alberta Smith of the Open Bible Tabernacle officiating.
Officers and members of the Bruce Shorts Post 5958 VFW Ladies Auxiliary will conduct a memorial service Sunday evening at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Centerville.
