Obituary of Richard L. Mangel
Mr. Richard L. Mangel, 81, formerly of 217 E. Central Ave., Titusville and a resident at the Golden LivingCenter in Oil City, passed away Monday, March 11, 2013.
Richard was born on March 3, 1932, in Pleasantville to the late Bert L. and Wealthea M. Howell Mangel.
Mr. Mangel was a graduate of Pleasantville High School class of 1950.
Richard was employed by Penn Traffic for over 45 years as a clerk.
He attended the Titusville Free Methodist Church. He also enjoyed bowling, attending all local sporting events, and going to fairs.
Richard is survived by his three brothers, James Mangel and wife Joan of Titusville, Charles Mangel of Erie, Donald Mangel of Union City; a sister, Diane Harmon and husband Richard of Pleasantville; a sister-in-law, Mary “Ginger” Mangel of Pleasantville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Mangel.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and attend the funeral service from the funeral home on Friday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Timothy Maybray, pastor of the Titusville Free Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment will be at Jerusalem Corners Cemetery.
