Obituary of Margaret L. Wood

Margaret L. Wood, 65, of Holt, MO passed away after a brief illness on Tuesday, August 17, 2010. She was born on January 30, 1945 in Dempseytown to the late Frank J. and Hilda Neely McClintock. Mrs. Wood graduated from Oil City High School in 1962. She had currently been employed at Allied Oil in Kansas City, MO prior to her illness. She enjoyed garage sales; NASCAR and dirt racing; was a fan of both the Kansas City Chiefs and Pittsburgh Steelers; and spending time with her pet dog “Cleo”. She is survived by a sister, Wilma Lewis and her husband George of Gladstone, MO and four brothers, William McClintock and his wife Nancy, Charles McClintock and his wife Donna of Cherrytree, Melvin McClintock and his wife Marilou, Ronald McClintock of Dempseytown, one sister-in-law Deloris McClintock of Cherrytree and long time friend Larry Howard of Holt, MO. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Guy McClintock and John McClintock, a sister Doris Kellogg, two sisters-in-law, Joanne McClintock and Marilyn McClintock, and brother-in-law Phil Kellogg. A service will be held at Northminster Presbyterian Church in Kansas City, MO on Friday, August 20th. Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St., Titusville on Monday, August 23rd from 6 to 8 PM. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 24th at the Oakland United Methodist Church, 1431 State Route 428, Oil City. Friends will also be received from 10 to 11 am at the church prior to the service. The Reverend Edward Saxman will officiate. Interment will be in Lamey Cemetery. The family asks that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Oakland United Methodist Church. FLOWERS
