Obituary of Mary L. Schossler
Mary L. Schossler, 99, of 323 E. Spring St. Titusville, passed away Tuesday morning June 18, 2013 at her residence.
Mrs. Schossler was born on August 18, 1913 in Titusville, a daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine Wojcek Laskos. She was married to Frank L. Schossler on June 7, 1936 at St. Walburga Church. He preceded her in death on Jan. 23, 1995.
Mrs. Schossler had attended St. Walburga School. She had been employed for over 50 years at Horn Textile in Titusville from where she retired.
Mrs. Schossler was a life member of St. Walburga Church. She was a member and past secretary of the local PNA Club. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, baking, and spending time with her family. She loved her pet miniature schnauzer “Ellie”.
She is survived by a daughter, Louise S. Dillemuth and husband Bruce of Titusville; a son, Richard F. Schossler and wife Ann of Johnstown; five grandchildren, Christine Samonsky and husband James of Titusville, Amy Perdiew and husband Nick of West Lake Village, CA, Brian Dillemuth and wife Jena of Pittsburgh, Karen See and husband Brian of Titusville, and Bradley Dillemuth and fiancée Shana Roberts of Titusville; four great grandchildren, Olivia, Sophia, and Alexander Samonsky, and Mason Dillemuth; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was prededed in death by a son, Raymond J. Schossler; five brothers, George, Stanley, Adam, John and Peter; and two sisters, Agnes Bajorek and Sophie Sonoski.
No public calling hours will be observed. Friends may attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 11:00 AM at St. Walburga Church with Fr. Walter E. Packard as celebrant.
Interment will be in St. Catharines Cemetery.
The family asks that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Crawford County 310 N. Monroe St. Titusville, PA 16354 or to the charity of one’s choice.
