Obituary of Frances Hummer

Frances “Franny” Hummer, 73, of 227 Water St. Titusville, died Wednesday August 14, 2013 at St. Vincents Health Center in Erie. Mrs. Hummer was born September 4, 1939 in Titusville to the late John and Katherine Findlay Driscoll. She attended Titusville Schools and was a 1958 graduate of Titusville High School. She was formerly employed at Quality Markets having worked in the Deli department. Mrs. Hummer was also a homemaker. Mrs. Hummer was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Titusville. She was a member of the Titusville Service League, she enjoyed loving on her grandchildren and friends, painting, cooking, swimming, and taking care of people. Mrs. Hummer is survived by her three children, James Hummer and wife Cheryl of Evansville, IN, Kathryn Zimmerman and husband Keith of Titusville and Beth Russell and husband Jeff of Mars; five grandchildren, Kyle Hummer and wife Heather of Raleigh, NC, Amanda Hummer of Leesburg, VA, Mathew Hummer of Pittsburgh, and Rachel and Megan Russell of Mars; a brother, James Driscoll and wife Ann and sister in law, Debbie Driscoll. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a former husband Evan Hummer, a brother, John Driscoll, and a sister Edith Campbell. No calling hours will be observed. Friends are welcoming to attend a memorial service Saturday August 17, at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church in Titusville with Tom Newcomb Assistant to the Pastor officiating. The Family asks that memorial contributions be made to the First Presbyterian Church 216 N. Franklin St. Titusville or to the Titusville Alumni Association 302 East Walnut St. Titusville.
