Obituary of Susan Pauline Beightol Loker

Susan Pauline Beightol Loker, 98, a former resident of Billie Brown Building, passed away at Country Acres Personal Care Home on Friday, August 23, 2013 at 4:20 a.m. Pauline was born on August 3, 1915 in Rocky Grove to the late Voyde “Pup” and Marie Adams Beightol. She married Meredith Ivan Loker on September 4, 1934 in Ripley, NY. He preceded her in death in 1996. She graduated from Seneca High School in 1933 and received training and employment as a private nurse. Later, she worked as a school bus driver and secretary, teaming with her husband in their ownership and operation of Loker’s Garage, the Titusville school buses, and a fleet of charter buses, including Twin City Coach Lines in Franklin and Seaway Coach Lines in Erie. Pauline is a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Titusville. The Lokers enjoyed residing in a variety of locales over the 62 years of their marriage, including Titusville, Erie, Brownsville, Texas and Palmetto, FL. In addition to extensive travels throughout the continental United States and Hawaii, they enjoyed fishing trips in Canada. She also enjoyed gardening, playing cards and dominoes, and visiting with her family. Pauline is survived by a son Ivan Ken Loker and wife Marilyn of Titusville; three grandsons, Ken C. Loker and wife Angela of Titusville, Larry Loker and wife Patricia of Damon, TX, David Loker and wife Nancy of Erie; and several great-grandchildren and great, great-grandchildren, and one great, great, great-grandchild. In addition to her parents and husband, Pauline was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Beightol; and a great, great-grandchild, Blake Jones. No public calling hours or service will be conducted per Mrs. Loker’s wishes. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Titusville High School Alumni Association, 302 E. Walnut Street, Titusville, PA 16354.
