Obituary of Carrie L. Enright
Mrs. Carrie L. Enright, 90, a resident of 227 Water St. Apt 101 in Titusville died at 7:45 PM on Saturday, September 7, 2013, at the Golden LivingCenter in Oil City. She had been a patient there for the past 2 weeks.
Mrs. Enright was born on April 23, 1923, in Centerville to the late Wayne K. and Elsie Smith Langworthy. She married Cornelius J. Enright on February 12, 1954, at the Bethel United Methodist Church.
She was a graduate of Bloomfield High School at the age of 16.
Carrie was known around the area for ability to make some of the best candy including her dark peppermint patties, brandy covered cherries and chocolate covered pretzels to name a few. She enjoyed making her candies for over 30 years.
She was the secretary for the Titusville Women’s Bowling Association, an active member in the Titusville community and Billie Brown Building, as well as, a member of AARP.
Mrs. Enright is survived by her husband Conn Enright a resident at the Oil City Golden LivingCenter; six children, Carol Patterson of Titusville, Kathleen Hubbard of Meadville, Ronald Enright and wife Sue of Titusville, Patsy Kosinski and husband Thomas of Lakewood, NY, Dan Enright and wife Renee of Friendly, WV, Elsie Huser of Pleasantville; 19 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren; a brother, David Langworthy and wife Betty of Rainer, OR; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter; three sisters and their spouses: Ruth Smith and husband Harold, Mabelle Vogt and husband John, and Louise Petrus; and a brother-in-law: Richard Hubbard.
Friends may call at the Titusville Free Methodist Church on Saturday from 10 to 11 AM with a memorial service to follow conducted by retired Baptist minister, Pastor Gary Kinnear, officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
