Obituary of Wilbur E. Moore
Wilbur E. Moore, 80, of 23043 Bryner Rd. Pleasantville, passed away Friday morning September 20th at the Golden Living Center in Titusville.
Mr. Moore was born on October 3, 1932 in Pleasantville, a son of the late Vessy and Lena Wagner Moore.
Mr. Moore was first married to Katherine Magoon who preceded him in death. He later married Roberta “Jean” Bruner on Sept. 2, 1968.
He was a graduate of the Pleasantville High School. He had been employed as a machinist in the tool and die industry all of his working career, and was last employed at GTE Sylvania until his retirement in 1993.
Mr. Moore enjoyed hunting, cutting hay, chopping firewood, and being busy with working in the outdoors.
He is survived by his wife Jean of Titusville; four sons, Robert Moore and wife Cynthia, and David Moore and wife Deborah, all of Titusville, Dale Moore and wife Debbie of Weirton, WV, and Daniel Moore of Pleasantville; 8 grandchildren; a brother, Edward Moore and wife Janet of Washington; a sister-in-law, Martha Moore of Corry; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his first wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Albert Moore and a sister, Luella Campbell.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM and attend the funeral service there on Monday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Donald Russell, pastor of the Pleasantville United Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment will be in Jerusalem Corners Cemetery.
The family asks that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or to Ascera Care Hospice.
