Obituary of Mary L. Hollabaugh
Mrs. Mary L. Hollabaugh, 88, formerly of Cooperstown, died Sunday afternoon October 6, 2013 at the Golden Living Center in Titusville.
Mrs. Hollabaugh was born on December 24, 1924 in Pleasantville, a daughter of the late William and Anna Barrett Slater.
Mrs. Hollabaugh was first married to Wearne B. Cook in February of 1942 by Rev. Perry J. Cook in Titusville. He preceded her in death on July 18, 1984. She later married Walter Hollabaugh on May 6, 1986 in Townville. He preceded her in death in November of 1989.
Mrs. Hollabaugh had attended the Pleasantville schools.
She was a member of the Bradleytown United Methodist Church and of the Chapmanville Volunteer Fire Dept. Ladies Auxilliary.
She is survived by two sons, Carl E. Cook and wife Debra of Silver Creek, NY, and Dale A. Cook and wife Susan of Centerville; five daughters, Mary Jane Dittman of Emlenton, Anna Rodgers and husband Steve of Seneca, Karen Ohl and husband Joe of Titusville, Esther Seeley of Meadville, and Ethel Macormac and husband Robert of Titusville; a daughter-in-law, Pearl Cook of Sunville; 22 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; a sister, Ellen Lender of Edinboro; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Mary was preceded in death by a daughter, Laura McCauley; a son, Wearne B. Cook, Jr.; five brothers, Charles, Frances, Thomas, James and Fred Slater; and five sisters, Eileen Alexander, Pearl Thompson, Grace Kinnear, Laura Wyzykowski, and Ann Reed.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville today (Tuesday) from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at which time the funeral service will be conducted with Mr. Gordon Turk officiating.
Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery in Oil City.
The family asks that memorials be made to any chapter of the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
