Obituary of Lillian M. Banks

Lillian M. Banks, 86, a long time resident of Titusville, died Friday evening October 2, 2009 at the Titusville Area Hospital. She was born on Feb. 17, 1923 in Titusville, a daughter of the late Otto and Lura Bedow Banks. Lillian had attended the Grand Valley School and Pittsfield High School. She was a homemaker all her life. She enjoyed her hobbies, concerts in the park, and spending time with her children. Lillian is survived by a son, Clarence Tom Collins of Titusville, and a daughter, Laura Banks Kaczynski and her husband David of Monroeville, PA; a niece, Lois Dean and her family; Fred Tarr and family who is husband of her late niece Laura Tarr; and other grand nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Marie Brothers, and her brother, Clifford Bedow. Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville today (Monday) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM and attend the funeral service there on Tuesday at 11:00 AM with Rev. William Hopkins, pastor of the Oil City Church of the Nazarene, officiating. Interment will be in Sanford Cemetery in Grand Valley. The family asks that memorials be made to the American Heart Association or to the charity of one’s choice. FLOWERS
