Obituary of Gayle L. Baker
Mrs. Gayle L. Baker, 54, of 225 Troy Center Rd., Titusville died suddenly Monday, August 30, 2010 at her residence.
Mrs. Baker was born on June 19, 1956 in Titusville to the late Fred L. and Marian M. Irrgang Webster. She married Rex W. Baker on October 22, 1978 at the Emanuel Lutheran Church in Titusville.
She was a graduate of Titusville High School, class of 1974, and attended Edinboro University.
Mrs. Baker has been employed for the past five years with Benson Memorial Library.
She was a member of the Diamond Evangelical United Methodist Church. She was the church organist and choir director for the past 15 years.
Mrs. Baker enjoyed doing crafts and scrap booking.
She is survived by her husband Rex W. Baker of Titusville; three children, Matthew W. Baker and wife Rosemary of Edinboro, Justin W. Baker and wife Amanda of Corry, Tracy L. Vorisek and husband Jake of Conneaut Lake; four grandchildren, Shawn, Aidan and Emma Baker of Corry and a granddaughter due in September; two sisters, Judy Barron and husband William “Charlie” of McKean, Kathy Coulter and husband Stanley of Oil City; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Further visitation will be at the Diamond Evangelical United Methodist Church on Friday from 1 to 2 PM with the service to follow conducted by Rev. Steve Tiffany, pastor of the church, officiating.
