Obituary of Marcelyn Jacobson

Mrs. Marcelyn T. Jacobson of 329 W. Walnut St., Titusville, died at 8:15 pm Friday, October 2, 2009 at the Titusville Hospital following an extended illness. Mrs. Jacobson was born on February 17, 1914 in Titusville, a daughter of the late Arthur and Harriet Hanson Emerson. She graduated from Titusville High School in 1932 and married Theodore W. Jacobson on September 3, 1937. He preceded her in death on December 9, 1984. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters and six brothers. Mrs. Jacobson is survived by her children, Thomas W. Jacobson, Lois A. Grubbs, Helen L. Jacobson of Titusville and Donald B. Jacobson of Irmo, SC, and Joni Jacobson of Irmo, SC, grandchildren, Phyliss and Roger Christy of Largo, FL, Michael and Traci Grubbs of Panama City Beach, FL, Kevin and Christina Grubbs of Parrish, FL, James and Sarah Grubbs of Grapevine, TX, Paula D. Smith and Angelo Rosati of Rutherford, NJ, Eric and Jennie Jacobson, Jennifer Jacobson, all of Irmo, SC, and Shaun Jacobson of Piedmont, SC, and five great-grandchildren, Celina, Marcie, and Bryan Christy, Aidan and Nadia Grubbs. She was dearly loved by all who knew her and had a lovely smile which she shared with everyone she met. She brought joy and happiness to all of those around her. She will be missed always. Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garret Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 from 7 to 9 pm and attend the funeral service there at 2 pm on Wednesday afternoon with Rev. Tim Maybray, pastor of the Titusville Free Methodist Church officiating. Internment will be in the Curry Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the donation of one’s personal choice. FLOWERS
