Obituary of Kathleen R. Pattison

Mrs. Kathleen R. Pattison, 64, of 422 Allen St., Titusville died at 9:25 AM on Saturday, February 22, 2014, at the Titusville Area Hospital, shortly after her arrival. Mrs. Pattison was born on March 25, 1949, in Titusville to Phalla Spence Scott and the late James Scott. She married Dennis P. Pattison on August 28, 1971 at the First Presbyterian Church in Titusville. Kathleen was a graduate of Titusville High School, class of 1967, and the University of Pittsburgh in 1971, with a degree in elementary education. She was employed by the Titusville Area School District from 1971 to 2005 as a 6th grade teacher at Pleasantville Elementary School. Kathleen was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Kiwanis Club. Kathleen enjoyed growing flowers, decorating her home especially at Christmas time and considered winter to be her favorite season. She collected snowmen, fed the birds and took care of the family pet beagle, Baylie. She also enjoyed shopping with her friends, being around people, reading, watching movies and loved to laugh. She was a fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates and Penn State football. Kathleen especially loved being with her husband and attending her sons athletic events and watching her family grow. She is survived by her husband Dennis of Titusville; her mother of Titusville; two sons, Jesse Pattison and wife Victoria of Mishawaka, IN, James Pattison of Titusville; four sisters, Cheryl Scott, Vicki Scott, Jayme Owens all of Titusville, Susan Scott of Gaithersburg, MD; her father and mother-in-law, Howard and Doris Pattison of Titusville; four brother-in-laws, Darrel Pattison of Titusville, Kevin Pattison of Grove City, Alan Pattison and wife Sue of Franklin, Norman Pattison of Titusville; a sister-in-law, Jill Wolfert and husband Dan of Carlisle; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Funeral services will be conducted from the First Presbyterian Church on Wednesday at 11:00 AM with Dr. Barry E. Cressman, officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
