Obituary of Dolyne E. Hasbrouck

Mrs. Dolyne E. Hasbrouck, 81, of 17062 Vrooman Rd., Titusville passed away peacefully at 4:05 a.m. on Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at her residence. Mrs. Hasbrouck was born on June 7, 1932 in Oil City to the late Clarence and Bertha Neubauer Wilson. She married George R. Hasbrouck on March 2, 1952, in Rouseville. Mr. Hasbrouck preceded her in death on September 3, 1994. She was a graduate of Titusville High School, class of 1950. Dolyne was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church. She has never missed voting in an election from the time she became a registered voter at the age of 18. She was also proud of being called the “original corn lady” who in late July and August could be found selling the freshest corn to people in the area out at Lin Van Lanes parking lot for many years. Dolyne is survived by her three children, Kandy Alverson of Ludington, MI, Kim Hasbrouck and wife Rayne of Titusville, Tracey Estok and husband Jeremy of Titusville; 8 grandchildren, Kate Vece and husband Nick of Grand Rapids, MI, Scott Henke of Ludington, MI, Erica Hasbrouck, Willy Hasbrouck, Rachel Hasbrouck, Morgan Estok, Gracey Estok, Max Estok all of Titusville; 13 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hasbrouck was the last of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Russell, Will and Robert Wilson; and 4 sisters, Beulah Laughery, Dorothy Toth, Helen Schiewe and Betty Burkett. Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St., Titusville on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with the service to follow conducted by Rev. Jerry Gray, pastor of the Bethel United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Titusville Alumni Assoc. 302 E. Walnut St., Titusville, PA 16354 or to Hospice of Crawford County 310 N. Monroe St., Titusville, PA 16354.
