Obituary of Rosina Marie Sanfilippo Cook
Rosina Marie Sanfilippo Cook, 86, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2014. Rose was born on October 15, 1927 in Buffalo, NY and lived in Western New York and Pennsylvania before retiring to Millsboro, Delaware in 2001.
Rose practiced her faith at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Georgetown, Delaware. She was a member of the New York State Judicial Conference and served three terms as Justice of the Peace in the town of Red House, NY.
Rose is survived by a daughter, Susan Sutphin; a son, Jeffrey Spica; grandchildren, Gabriel Sutphin and wife Brandi, Gillie Sutphin Tice, Julian Meyers-Szupinska and wife Joanna, and Michael Meyers; five great grandchildren, Mary, Sarah, Emily, Madison, and Willow; and a brother, Alphonso Sanfilippo.
She was preceded in death her parents Cologero and Concetta Navarro Sanfilippo; her husband Marshall D. Cook; a daughter, Barbara Myers; a son-in-law, Mark Sutphin; a brother, Frank Phillips; and two sisters, Bessie Queeno and Josephine Lombardo.
Friends may attend a graveside service at Covenanter Cemetery, corner of Mageetown Rd. and Stewart Road in Centerville on Saturday at 10:00 AM with Fr. Walter E. Packard, pastor of the Titusville Catholic Community, officiating.
The family asks that memorials be made in memory of Rose to The Cheer Center 546 S. Bedford St. Georgetown, DE 19947.
