Obituary of Eva May Wigren
Miss Eva May Wigren, 93, beloved aunt, departed this world to join her family on Saturday morning June 21, 2014 at the Edinboro Manor where she had been a resident since 2006.
Eva was born on October 8, 1920 in Titusville, a daughter of the late Edward and Ingeborg Johnson Wigren.
She was a graduate of Colestock High School, class of 1938.
Eva had worked for the former Struthers Wells Corp. During World War II, she traveled to California and worked in a wartime factory. Upon her return, she worked at the Titusville Area Hospital for 43 years in both the dietary department and the purchasing department.
She was a member of the Emanuel Lutheran Church in Titusville. She was a former member of Altar Guild while living in Titusville.
Eva was dearly loved by all who knew her, especially her nieces and nephews; Nancy, Fran, Joe, Walter, Ed, Lisa, Rich, Rob, Linda, Courtney, Jennifer, Sammy, Diane, Jerry, Todd, Jacque, Justin, Adam, Carly, Harrison and Cameron. We wish her well on her journey to the next place.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Walter, Donald, and Edward Wigren; and a nephew William Wigren.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville on Friday from 10:30AM to 11:30 AM at which time the funeral service will be conducted with Pastor Sharon Hilfiger of the Zion Lutheran Church in Oil City, officiating.
Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
