Obituary of Margaret C. Rober
Mrs. Margaret C. Rober, 93, formerly of 127 Beechwood Dr., and most recently the Crawford County Care Home, died at 12:28 PM on Sunday, July 13, 2014, at the Meadville Medical Center.
Margaret was born in Chambersburg, PA on April 1, 1921, to the late Thomas and Elsie Etter Spittler.
She was previously employed at the Arcade Restaurant in Titusville for several years and last employed as an aide at the former Grandview Nursing Home in Titusville until her retirement.
Margaret was always laughing and making friends wherever she went. She enjoyed baking, visiting friends and family, traveling and loved shopping. She also looked forward to her weekly lunches at Sam’s Restaurant.
She was a former member of the Salvation Army.
Margaret is survived by her five children, William Perry and wife Darlene of Warren, Rose Titch and husband Paul of Corry, Peggy Elslager of Titusville, Patty Long and husband John of Cambridge Springs, and Darlene Shirk and husband Norris of Gap, PA; 17 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special friend Jim Brink.
She was preceded in death by three husbands, Chester Henry Perry who died in 1950, Charles Perry who died in 1977 and John Rober who died in 1990; one brother and three sisters.
Family and friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St., Titusville on Wednesday from 12:00 to 2PM at which time a service will be conducted by Pastor Jim Moore of the Church of Christ, officiating.
Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery, Spartansburg.
