Obituary of Carol L. Koontz

Mrs. Carol L. Koontz, 57, of Hickory Corners Rd., Guys Mills died at 9:50 PM on Sunday, November 1, 2009 at the Meadville Medical Center. Mrs. Koontz was born on December 1, 1951, in Pittsburgh to her mother Ethel Grose. She graduated high school from the Pittsburgh area. Mrs. Koontz was previously employed as a surgical technician at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh. Since moving to Guys Mills she has worked as a secretary for the past 7 years at the Guys Mills United Evangelical Free Church. She was a member of the Relationship and Care Team, Love Inc., and Discipleship Team. She also loved birds, being outdoors, going to church and singing in the church choir. Mrs. Koontz is survived by one son, Nathan Koontz and his wife Jaime of Linesville; one daughter, Nicole Koontz of Hartstown; and one brother, Gary Grose and his companion Dorothy Benoit of Pittsburgh. Family and friends may call at the Guys Mills United Evangelical Free Church 11534 State Hwy 198, on Saturday from 3 to 5 PM with the funeral service to follow conducted by Pastor David Coddington.
