Obituary of Charlotte C. Rosequist
Mrs. Charlotte C. Rosequist, 96, formerly of 208 N. Fourth St., Titusville died at 12:40 AM on Saturday, October 02, 2010 at the Sugar Creek Station Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility in Franklin.
Mrs. Rosequist was born on April 3, 1914 in Titusville to the late Vern and Tabitha Dunham Covell.
She attended Titusville Area Schools.
Mrs. Rosequist worked as a seamstress, cook & caterer, and nanny for numerous Titusville families. She was also a chef at the PGA Golf Course in Jupiter, FL, and taught sewing as a home-ec teacher at St. Joseph’s Academy.
She was a member of St. Titus Church. She was active in the Catholic Daughters of America. She was a past president of PTA at St. Titus School, and past president of PTO at St. Joseph’s Academy
Mrs. Rosequist enjoyed sewing, quilting, needlework and cooking.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Blum and her husband Terry of Kennerdell; one granddaughter, Angela Muir Prenatt and husband Craig of Erie; one step-grandson, Jeremy Blum and wife Kara of Franklin; one great granddaughter, Ciarra Prenatt of Erie; two step great-grandsons, Jacy Blum and Isaac Stokes of Franklin; one brother, Warren Covell of Titusville; one sister, Queen Tucker of Titusville; two sisters-in-law: Edna Covell of Titusville, Jane Covell of Corry; numerous nieces and nephews, and also survived by her Sugar Creek Station family, the staff of all departments who cared for her with love and kindness throughout her nearly 12 years of residence, as well as, the residents and their family members who provided warmth, friendship and caring throughout her stay.
Mrs. Rosequist was preceded in death by her first husband, James W. Moran whom she married on May 11, 1940 at St. Titus Church. He died on Nov. 6, 1967; her second husband Charles G. Rosequist, Sr. whom she married on Nov. 19, 1983 at St. Titus Church. He died on Dec. 26, 1988; one sister, Helen Davis; and six brothers, Harold, Paul, Gerald, Ken, Leon and Laverne “Junior” Covell.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St., Titusville on Tuesday from 1:00 to 3:00 PM with the service to follow conducted by Fr. D.G. Davis III, pastor of the Catholic Community of Titusville officiating.
Interment will be in St. Catharines Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Sugar Creek Station Resident Activity Fund, 351 Causeway Dr., Franklin, PA 16323.
