Obituary of Jayne T. Logan
Jayne T. Logan, 67, of 318 W. Mt. Vernon St. Titusville, passed away peacefully Sunday morning August 17th at her home.
Jayne was born on June 18, 1947 in Titusville, a daughter of the late Douglas and Margaret Girvin Logan. She was married to Patrick Yanni on Oct. 23, 2010 at Enterprise.
Jayne was a graduate of Titusville High School, class of 1965. She was a graduate of Edinboro University, class of 1968 earning her LPN degree. She later attended Clarion University and earned her registered nurse degree. She also graduated from Edinboro University in 1984 earning her master’s degree in forensic and clinical psychology.
She had previously been employed as head nurse at the Titusville Area Hospital. She had also been employed in Albuquerque, NM and Atlanta, GA hospitals in administrative capacities.
Jayne was a member of the First Presbyterian Church; a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and VFW Ladies Auxiliary; a member of the B.P.O. Elks No. 264; a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution; a former member of the Acacia Chapter No. 30 O.E.S; a member of the Vietnam Veterans Organization in Jamestown, NY; and a social member of both the PNA and Moose Clubs.
She enjoyed riding motorcycles, playing piano, reading, needlepoint, crocheting, knitting, horseback riding, and dancing.
She is survived by her husband of Titusville; a daughter, Tyler Logan Brenton and companion Nick Fairman of Titusville; a brother, Bill Logan and wife Anne of Enterprise; a nephew, Dion Young and wife Patty Jo of Titusville; and two great nieces and two great nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Douglas C. Logan, Jr. and a sister, Virginia “Ginny” Logan.
Friends may attend a memorial service at 11:00 AM Friday, Aug. 22, 2014 at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville, PA with Mrs. Jacqueline Wagner officiating.
Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery in Warren, PA.
The family asks that memorials be made to Benson Memorial Library or to the Titusville Council on the Arts.
