Obituary of Anthony G. Avolio

Anthony G. “Tony” Avolio, 59, of Dempseytown, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at his residence. Tony was born on November 28, 1954 at McKees Rocks, PA, a son of the late Anthony and Barbara Gollick Avolio. He was married to Paula J. Kuberry on Sept. 30, 1988 in Titusville. Tony was a graduate of Montour High School, class of 1972. He operated his own automobile dealership in Dempseytown. He had also been employed by the County of Venango driving transportation bus and had also worked as a courier for UPMC. He also had been employed at the former Dailey and Kocan Chevrolet Dealership as parts manager. Tony enjoyed spending time on his Kubota; playing with the pet dogs; teasing and tormenting others; and spending time with his family. Tony is survived by his wife of Dempseytown; two daughters, Nicki Avolio and fiancée Evan Wood, and Cadee Avolio, all of Dempseytown; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paul and Carol Kuberry of Pleasantville; his lifelong and best friend, Sylvester “Butch” Lukaszewicz, Jr. of Pittsburgh; two nephews, Michael Harbaugh and wife Bonnie, and Dennis Harbaugh and wife Carrie, all of Pittsburgh; a great nephew, Anthony Harbaugh; and two great nieces, Alyssa and Carly Harbaugh. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Alexis Harbaugh. Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville on Thursday from 6 to 8 PM. Interment will be private. The family asks that memorials be made to Benson Memorial Library 213 N. Franklin St. Titusville, PA 16354.
