Obituary of Norman N. Carson
Mr. Norman N. Carson, 73, of 138 Turkey Farm Rd. Titusville, died at 1:35 AM, Sunday, October 12, 2014, at his residence.
Mr. Carson was born on April 5, 1941, in Oil City to the late Harold and Hazel Hart Carson. He married Lois Hart on August 22, 1959 in Petroleum Center.
Norm attended Oil City schools and was a graduate of Oil City High School, class of 1958.
He worked for Continental Can in Oil City for 18 years before working as a truck driver for Hasbrouck’s Sand & Gravel until his retirement 11 years ago.
Norman enjoyed working in his yard, processing deer with his son during deer season, traveling with his wife, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Lois of 55 years; five children, Kimberly Riffle and husband Paul of Walkersville, WV, Brenda O’Neill and husband Donald of Titusville, Jeffery Carson and wife Diane of Springville, PA, Mark Carson of Titusville, and Timothy Carson and wife Jennifer of Front Royal, VA; 12 grandchildren, Michael Baker and wife Brittany, Sarah Baker, Ryan O’Neill, Jessica Lorenz and husband Joe, Monica Pantucci and husband Robert, Mark Ralston and wife Brandy, Joshua Ralston, Scotty Carson, Brandon Carson, Abigale Carson, Bradley Carson, and Jacob Carson; 4 great grandchildren, Sophia and Aubree Lorenz, and Barron and Claira Ralston; 2 sisters, Wilma Suttley and Nancy Barger both of Franklin.
In addition to his parents Norman was preceded in death by a daughter in law Renee Carson, an infant grandson Zachery Baker, and three brothers, Albert, Kenneth and Chester Carson.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home Inc. 303 North Washington St. on Tuesday, Oct. 14th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM and attended a funeral there on Wednesday at 11AM.
Interment will be at Jamison Corners Cemetery.
