Obituary of Rosemary M. Logsdon
Mrs. Rosemary Logsdon, 87, a resident of Troy Center passed away at 1:20 AM on Wednesday, November 26, 2014, at the Titusville Area Hospital.
Mrs. Logsdon was born on Dec. 25, 1926 in Oil City to the late Clarence O. and Ada Campbell Moore. She married James O. “Pete” Logsdon on April 29, 1950 at the Highway Open Bible Church. Mr. Logsdon preceded her in death on April 3, 1999.
She was a graduate of Titusville High School, class of 1944.
Mrs. Logsdon was previously employed for a short time in the accounting department at Universal Cyclops Specialty Steel and also provided childcare for many families through the years. These children and their parents maintained a life-long connection to Rosemary as part of an extended, loving family.
She was a lifetime member of the Highway Open Bible Tabernacle but had most recently been attending the Mt. Pleasant Chapel in Union City.
Mrs. Logsdon enjoyed flower gardening, reading, photography, and spending precious time with her family.
She is survived by two sons, Dale Logsdon of Troy Center, David Logsdon and wife Ramona of Spartansburg; two daughters, Susan McDowell and husband Mark of Titusville, Cathy Jackson and husband Duane of Townville; four grandchildren, Heather Hensler and husband Dr. Daniel Hensler, Travis Logsdon and wife Laura, Jared Jackson, Jacob Jackson; and four great-grandchildren, Titus Hensler, Lily Hensler, Duncan Hensler, Ava Hensler.
She was preceded in death by her cousin, Julia Culbertson and her husband Robert.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St, Titusville on Saturday, November 29 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm Funeral service will be at Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home on Sunday, November 30 at 3:00 pm with Rev. Jerry Alsdorf, officiating.
Interment will be in Troy Center Cemetery.
