Obituary of Garnett L. Williams
Mrs. Garnett L. Williams, 83, of Sugar Grove, passed away Sunday morning, December 7, 2014, at the John Blair Hospice House of Warren County.
Mrs. Williams was born on May 2, 1931 in Ludlow, PA to the late George and Nellie Ann Baker Beers.
She graduated from Kane High School in 1949 and attended the Olive Branch Mission in Chicago for three years.
She married Mr. Mark L. Williams in 1957 in Sheffield, PA.
Mrs. Williams worked for the Union City School District for twenty-four years as an audio secretary when she retired in 1996.
She attended the Sugar Grove Mission Covenant Church. She was an active member of church, having taught Sunday school for many years. She enjoyed being in the ministry with her husband while he was a Pastor for over fourteen years.
Mrs. Williams is survived by her loving husband, Mark of Sugar Grove; a son, Kenneth Williams and wife Mary of Warren; a daughter, Kerri Last and husband Joseph of Titusville; five grandchildren, Megan Resig and husband Steve, Josh Williams and wife Laura, Abagail, Kristianna, and Chandler Last; a great granddaughter, Ava; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, William and Gordon Beers.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home, 303 N. Washington Street, Titusville, PA 16354, on Wednesday, December 10th, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, and on Thursday, December 11th at the Sugar Grove Mission Covenant Church, 7205 Matthews Run Road, Sugar Grove, PA 16350, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM with the funeral service to follow with Pastor Brian Haight officiating.
Interment will be at Gibbs Hill Cemetery.
