Obituary of Blanche E. Kunz

Mrs. Blanche E. Kunz, 83, formerly of 916 E. Main St., died at 6:55 AM on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at the Golden LivingCenter in Titusville. She was born on May 29, 1931, in Oil City to the late William C. and Mary A. Fink Rhoads. She married Paul A. Kunz in Oil City in 1952. He preceded her in death on November 10, 1974. Blanche attended Oil City Area Schools. She was a homemaker and loved being with her family. She liked to travel and go to dinner theater plays. She also loved her cat “Honey”. Blanche was a member of St. Titus Church and the Bruce Shorts Post 5958 Women’s Auxiliary. She is survived by her two children, Gregory Kunz of Titusville, and Judith Boyle of Mars, PA; three grandchildren, John Boyle, Heather Boyle, and Heidi Boyle; 6 great grandchildren; two sisters Ann Radmore of Titusville and Dorothy Andrako of Titusville; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband Blanche was preceded in death by an infant son David Kunz; four brothers, William “Bill” Rhoads, George Rhoads, James “Jim” Rhoads, and Jerome “Jerry” Rhoads; and one sister Mary Oleksak. Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home Inc. 303 N. Washington St. on Tuesday from 7 to9 PM. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 AM in St. Titus Church with Fr. Matthew Ruyechan, pastor of St. Stephen’s Church in Oil City, as celebrant. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Pleasantville. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Titus Church 513 W. Main St., Titusville, PA 16354 or to a charity of one’s choice.
