Obituary of David J. Wright

David J. Wright, 69, of 420 N. Franklin St. Titusville, passed away Saturday morning December 20, 2014 at the Golden Living Center in Titusville. Mr. Wright was born on February 24, 1945 in Titusville, a son of the late Lloyd and Alice Rose Anthony Wright. He was married to Barbara Wright on October 30, 1992 in Pleasantville. Mr. Wright had attended the Titusville schools. He had been employed as a salesman with the Kirby Store in Meadville for a number of years. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping. He enjoyed making Christmas wreaths. He was well known for being a Bingo caller for many years at the Hydetown Volunteer Fire Dept. He was a NASCAR fan as well as a fan of local driver Max Blair. He is survived by his wife Barbara of Titusville; five children, Randy Wright and wife Tammy of Greenville, Alyson Fisher and husband Ron of Jamestown, PA, John Wright and wife Kim of Hartstown, PA, Donna Robishaw and husband John of Pleasantville, and James Fielding of Titusville; 14 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; a brother, Art Wright and wife Joanne of Linesville; a half-sister, Margaret “Peg” Pierce of Akron, OH; an aunt, Elsie Newhouse of Fayetteville, WV; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Harry Gilson. No public calling hours or funeral service will be conducted. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Crawford County 406 W. Oak St. Titusville, PA 16354; or to White Oak Gun Club 26 Amasa Rd. Greenville, PA 16125.
