Obituary of Marilyn Lee Hicks
Mrs. Marilyn Lee Hicks, 79, of 745 E. Main St., Titusville passed away at 5:25 AM on Saturday, December 27, 2014, at the Titusville Area Hospital. She had been a patient at the Golden LivingCenter for the past year.
Mrs. Hicks was born on January 7, 1935, in Oil City to the late Raymond and Laura Betz. She married Richard E. Hicks on July 24, 1953. Mr. Hicks preceded her in death on Oct. 14, 2007.
She was a graduate of Oil City High School in 1953.
Marilyn worked part time as a bus aide for Northwest Bus Service for several years.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Marilyn enjoyed crocheting, reading, doing puzzles, and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by a son, Bruce Hicks and wife Judy of Conneautville; a daughter, Gayle Turk and companion Michael Lange of Fernley, NV; 6 grandchildren, Stephanie Turk Murray of NV, Heath Turk of NV, April Weis of Meadville, Heather Baum and husband Steven of Titusville, Megan Hicks and companion Jack Bickel of Meadville, Staci Reichel and husband Josh of Conneaut Lake; 16 great grandchildren, Christopher Turk, Courtney Turk, Cody Turk, Alisha Turk, Leighton Murray, Otto Turk, Savanna Murray, Mercedes Turk, Micheal Dashner, Matthew Bickel Emilie Steadman, Jacob Weis, Sean Weis, Alex Walters, Nicholas Baum, Brianna Baum; a step-brother, Curtis Clark and wife Carol of OH; 2 step-sisters, Harriett Hallam of CA, Jean Carbaugh of NM; brother-in-law, Paul Hicks and wife Becky of Webster, NY; sister-in-law, Betty Schillinger of Northeast; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Hicks was preceded in death by a daughter, Laurie Poole.
No calling hours will be observed.
A memorial service will be conducted this spring and will be announced prior to the service.
Inurnment will be in Red Oak Cemetery.
