Obituary of William B. Koller

William B. Koller, 85, formerly of 628 E. Spruce St. Titusville, passed away Sunday morning December 28, 2014 at Southwoods Assisted Living Community in Titusville. Mr. Koller was born on April 26, 1929 at Bismark, ND, a son of the late William and Florence Beatty Koller. He was married to Nona Coble on Oct. 6, 1951 at Geneva, NY. Mr. Koller was a graduate of Radnor High School in Wayne, PA, class of 1948. He was a graduate of Florida State University, class of 1957. He was a veteran having served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Koller had built and operated with his wife Oil Creek Camp Resort from 1972 until 1996. He had been employed at Cytemp Specialty Steel Corp. and Liberty Electronics in Franklin from where he retired. He had also been an instructor at the Kerr Skill Center in Titusville. Mr. Koller was a member of the First Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder and deacon. He was a member of the Titusville Lodge No. 754 F.& A.M.; a member of the Venango Lodge of Perfection; and a member of the New Castle Consistory, Scottish Rite. He was a founding member and past treasurer of the Titusville Aero Club; and a member of the Civil Air Patrol. He was past president of the Titusville Area Chamber of Commerce. He was director and past president of the Venango County Area Tourist Promotion Agency. He was also a member of the Bruce Shorts Post 5958 VFW. He is survived by his wife Nona of Titusville; a son, William C. Koller and wife Charlotte of Titusville; a daughter, Susan Walsh and husband Michael of Baltimore, MD; six grandchildren; a great grandson; a sister, Mary Lou Semans and husband Edwin of Bethesda, MD; a nephew; and a niece. No public calling hours will be observed. Friends may attend a celebration of his life at 12:00 noon Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the Titusville Free Methodist Church. The family asks that memorials be made to Focus on the Family 8605 Explorer Dr. Colorado Springs, CO 80920.
