Obituary of Donald J. Warner
Mr. Donald J. Warner, Sr., 80, of White City Rd., Pleasantville passed away at 3:00 AM on Sunday, January 11, 2015, at St. Vincent Health Center in Erie.
Mr. Warner was born on July 15, 1934, in Titusville to the late James C. and Thelma Kerr Warner. He married Verna Mack on Dec. 10, 1955, in Erie. Mrs. Warner preceded him in death on July 30, 2013.
He was a graduate of Titusville High School, class of 1952.
Mr. Warner was employed by several local businesses as a truck driver and also drove independently with the handle of the “The Wooden Indian.”
He enjoyed playing his guitar, antiquing, hunting, spending time with his grandchildren, and cooking Sunday dinner for the family.
Don is survived by 7 children, Donald J. Warner, Jr. of Centerville, David Warner and wife Tina of Pleasantville, Paul Warner and wife Cheryl of Pleasantville, Rita Reed and husband Ronnie of Corry, Gale Pratt and husband Bruce of Titusville, Gary Warner of Pleasantville, Terry Warner and wife Jennie of Titusville; 12 grandchildren, Tyler Warner and wife Mylina of Pleasantville, Tazi Hicks and husband Ron of Titusville, Lisa Warner of Pleasantville, Jeremiah Gibson, Jessica Gibson, Ben Gibson and wife Amber all of Corry, Sara Kinnear and husband Shane of Titusville, Sean Pratt of Titusville, Alexis Warner, Jack Warner of Pleasantville, Aiden Warner, Karisa Warner of Titusville; 4 great grandchildren, Gage Warner, Ryleigh Warner, Rubie Gibson, Rian Kinnear; a brother, Philip Warner and wife Karen of Pleasantville; and a sister, Grace Warner and husband Russell of Union City.
He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Jack Warner, Duane Baron, Kenneth Warner; and 2 sisters, Sue Peterson and Betty Southwick.
No calling hours will be observed.
A celebration of Don’s life will be held by the family for friends this spring.
