Obituary of Ivy H. Ferreira

Mrs. Ivy H. Ferreira, 89, of 109 White Oak Dr. Titusville, died Friday afternoon May 14, 2010 at the Golden Living Center in Titusville. Mrs. Ferreira was born on April 10, 1921 at Anguilla, West Indes, a daughter of the late Phillip and Mary Phillips Rogers. She was married to Martin Henry Ferreira on Oct. 26, 1948 at Curacao. He preceded her in death on Dec. 28, 1983. Mrs. Ferreira was a health care aide for over 20 years. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Seneca. Mrs. Ferreira is survived by four children, Daphne Changoo-Grant of Toronto, Canada, Clement Ferreira of Staten Island, NY, Joan Lewis and husband Tony of Toronto, Canada, and Dr. Leonard Ferreira and wife Hillerine of Titusville; 9 granchildren; 2 great grandchildren; a sister, Juliette Rogers of Curacao; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Atkinson, Oliver, and Auguste Rogers. Friends may call at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Meadow Road, Seneca, PA on Sunday, May 16th from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at which time the funeral service will be conducted with Pastor Preston Monterrey officiating. Interment will be in Silver Mount Cemetery, Staten Island, NY on Friday, May 21st. The Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville is in charge of arrangements.
