Obituary of Maria V. Dahle

Mrs. Maria V. Dahle, 76, of 112 N. Drake St., Titusville died at 1:16 PM on Sunday, October 17, 2010 at the Golden LivingCenter in Titusville. Mrs. Dahle was born on October 18, 1933 in Titusville to the late Victor and Amerens Proper Viglo. She married Eugene P. “Gene” Dahle on July 15, 1952 at St. James Memorial Episcopal Church. She was a graduate of Titusville High School. Mrs. Dahle was formerly employed as an art teacher at St. Titus School and later worked for Riverside Market. She was a member of St. James Memorial Episcopal Church, the church altar guild for over 50 years and took care of the altar flowers. Mrs. Dahle was a loving mother and devoted grandmother. She was also an avid bingo player. She is survived by her husband Eugene P. “Gene” Dahle of Titusville; two sons, Ronald Dahle and wife Diane of Titusville, Steven Dahle and wife Becky of Stow, OH; six grandchildren, Jason Hennessy of MD, Tim Dahle of Edinboro, Shane Dahle and Erin Dahle of Titusville, Laura Espersen and husband David and Joseph Dahle of Stow, OH; a sister, Catherine Van Dyke and husband Don of Titusville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Dahle was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Edward Dahle who died in infancy; two brothers, Paul and Edward Viglo; and three sisters, Lettria Hertz, Josephine Bearce and Emmy Barker. Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held at St. James Memorial Episcopal Church on Thursday at 11:00 AM with Rev. William French, officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
