Obituary of Gertrude M. Jolly
Mrs. Gertrude Mable Jolly, 86, formerly of 1080 Dempsytown-Greshhem Rd. Titusville, died Sunday, February 8, 2015 at 4:35 AM at UPMC Northwest in Seneca.
Gertrude was born on April 11, 1928 in Cherrytree to the late Norman A. and Lucil Graham Kellogg. She married Biryl Stover on January 10, 1948 in Youngsville. He preceded her in death on February 22, 1958. She was also married to the late Robert Lee Faunce and James Jolly.
She attended a one room school house in Cherrytree.
Gertrude was a member of the former Hamilton Corners Free Methodist Church.
She was a homemaker and was a member of the Cherrytree Vol. Fire Dept. and ladies auxiliary.
Gertrude loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, baking, canning, crocheting, quilting and making crafts.
She is survived by her six children, Ronald Stover and wife Suzanne of Kauai, HI, Donald Stover and wife Charlotte of Franklin, Eugene Jolly and wife Rita of Holley, NY, James Jolly of Titusville, Cherly Maddy and husband David of Meadville, and Brenda Bates and husband James “Bo” of Marlow, OK; 15 grandchildren, Shawn Stover, Deanna Howles, Bob Jolly, Bill Jolly, Isaac Jolly, Eric Stover, Bryan Stover, Travis Stover, Rhonda Zollars, Rhiannon Stover, Sara Rose-Pegan, Johanna Morris, Joshua Bates, Joy Tidwell, and Jonathan Bates; 28 great grandchildren; one brother, Ray Kellogg of Virginia; two sisters, Frances Sevier of Ohio and Marie Bigley and husband Ken of Centerville; one sister in law, Kay Kellogg of Nevada; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Gertrude was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandy Stover; four brothers, Philmore Kellogg, Guy Kellogg, Merle Kellogg and Lee Kellogg; and one sister Dorothy Fleming.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home Inc. 303 N. Washington St. on Thursday from 1 to 3 PM with a service to follow. Services will be conducted by Rev. Ron Hipwell, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery.
