Obituary of William L. Wagner
Mr. William L. “Bill” Wagner, 56, of West Spring St., Titusville passed away at 3:55 AM on Thursday, February 26, 2015, at the Titusville Area Hospital.
Mr. Wagner was born on July 1, 1958, in Oil City to Harley Wagner and Anita Lamb Popieski.
He attended Titusville Area Schools and also earned his GED.
Bill served in the US Army from 1976 to 1978, being honorably discharged after having been injured.
He was a member of the Church of Christ, Christian Motorcycle Association, and Cherrytree Vol. Fire Dept.
Bill enjoyed woodworking, he was an ordained minister, and had a great love for the man in black, Johnny Cash, and his dog Ezra.
He is survived by his wife Christal Firster Wagner of Titusville, whom he married on July 11, 2009 in Titusville at the Assembly of God Church; his mother, Anita Popieski of Titusville; his father Harley Wagner of Titusville; 5 children, Candy Wagner of Meadville, Adam Wagner of Meadville, Tanya Wagner of Oil City, Amanda Wagner of Titusville, and Jessie Wagner of Grand Valley; 3 step-children, Robert Burger, Jennifer Burger, Chad Burger and wife Tiffany all of Titusville; a sister, Tammy Crowther and husband Joe of Titusville; a brother, Harley “Mark” Wagner and wife Helen of Pleasantville; a half-brother, Benson Wagner and wife Missy of Titusville; and a step sister, Jamie Wagner of Titusville; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; a special grandson, Gideon Burger; and two close friends, JR Foy and James Lingo.
Bill was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Winifred Ruth Lamb and Benson and Rachel Wagner; step father, Richard Popieski; and great grandson, Patrick Burger.
Friends may call at the Church of Christ, 221 W. Main Street, Titusville, on Monday, March 2nd, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM, and the funeral service on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the Church of Christ with Pastor Jim Moore, officiating.
Interment will be in the Diamond Cemetery.
