Obituary of Dorothy Irene Wright
Mrs. Dorothy Irene Wright, 87, of 35974 State Hwy 408,Centerville passed away Sunday, March 15, 2015 at 9:17 AM UPMC Hamot.
Mrs. Wright was born August 20, 1927 in Centerville, to the late Willard and Iva Shade Sutton. She married Norman L. Wright on November 13, 1950 in Pleasantville. He preceded her in death on January 5, 2000.
She was a graduate of Townville High School.
Mrs. Wright was a manager at the Titusville Area Hospital for many years in the laundry department.
Dorothy was a lifetime member of the Bruce Shorts Post 5958 VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
She enjoyed going to bingo, reading books, watching Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, and the Price is Right. She also loved spending time with family and friends.
Dorothy is survived by her four sons, Brian Wright and wife Mary of Centerville, Douglas Wright and wife Alicia of Williams, AZ, Kevin Wright and wife Carman of Williams, AZ and David Agens, Jr. of Townville; six grandchildren, Baily Wright, Shannon Wright, Jacob Wright, Alisha Wright, Miranda Wright, and David Agens III; one great grandson, Zane Ebert; six brothers, Rex Sutton of Centerville, Willard Sutton and wife Janice of Centerville, Jack Sutton and wife Betty of Centerville, and James Sutton of Centerville, John Sutton of Centerville, and William Sutton of Centerville; one sister Virginia Haugh and husband Gary of Maiden, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was preceded in death by two brothers, Lee and Gerald Sutton.
Friends may call from 10:00 AM to 11:00AM on Tuesday at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. and attended a memorial service there at 11 AM with Rev. Jeff Sterling, Pastor of the Hydetown Baptist Church, officiating.
Inurnment will be at Sunnyside Cemetery.
