Obituary of Alfred R. Ehrhart

Alfred R. Ehrhart, 61, of Centerville, passed away Saturday evening March 14, 2015 at his residence following an extended illness. Alfred was born on February 16, 1954 in Corry, a son of the late Roy and Helen Greer Ehrhart. He was married to Claudene Daniels on Aug. 2, 1977 in Townville. Alfred had attended the Townville schools. He had been employed at Sparty Wood as a truck driver for 20 years and had most recently been self-employed in the trucking industry. Alfred was a veteran having served in the US Army. He entered the service on Dec. 29, 1973 at Pittsburgh and was honorably discharged Jan. 27, 1975 at Fort Shafter, Oahu, Hawaii. He was a member of the Clarence M. Judd and Merse J. Process American Legion Post in Townville. Alfred enjoyed raising rabbits, chickens, and miniature horses and cows at “Al’s Acre”. He enjoyed hunting, riding his four-wheeler, and spending time with his family. He was loved by many friends. He is survived by his wife of Centerville; two children, Regina Fraker and husband Jake of Mishawaka, Indiana and Raymond Ehrhart and wife Renae of Centerville; two grandchildren, Allyson Grace Fraker and Liam Ethan Ehrhart; three brothers, Roy “Steve” Ehrhart of Anchorage, Alaska, LeRoy Ehrhart and wife Wilma of Spartansburg, and Troy Ehrhart and wife Michelle of Centerville; a sister, Linda Rodgers and husband Robert of Lady Lake, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Bertha Nuebert; a sister-in-law, Lynda Ehrhart; a niece, Debra Ehrhart; and two nephews, Jason Rodgers and Joshua Ehrhart. Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home 303 N. Washington St. Titusville today (Tuesday) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM and attend the funeral service there on Wednesday at 11:00 AM with Troy Ehrhart, brother, officiating. Interment will be in Sunnyside Cemetery. The family asks that memorials be made to any chapter of the American Cancer Society.
