Obituary of James F. Moore
Mr. James F. Moore, 83, formerly of Spartansburg, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2015 at the Titusville Golden Living Center.
James was born in Franklin on January 6, 1932 to the late Harold L. and Leona M. Shoup Moore.
He graduated from Colestock High School, Class of 1949.
He enlisted in the United States Army in 1951, and was honorably discharged with the rank of Corporal in 1953.
James worked for PENN DOT, Cyclops Specialty Steel Corporation, and then in 1957 he moved to Warren, OH and worked for the General Service Administration of the US Government as the manager of the Federal Depot, for over twenty years.
He was a member of the Eagles Club, National Rifle Association, and Ducks Unlimited.
James was an ultimate outdoorsman, experienced in trapping and hunting. He enjoyed going on hunting excursions to Canada with friends, and enjoyed being outdoors. He was also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan.
James is survived by dear friends, Bill & Pam Beck, and Sue Lowros of Titusville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, both in 1993 and a sister, Janet Moore in August of 1957.
Per his wishes, no calling hours or funeral service will be observed.
Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery.
